Popeyes
This is a cap from "Popeyes," a fast food chain specializing in fried chicken, established in Louisiana, USA, in 1972. The founder, Copeland, developed spicy Louisiana-style chicken to compete with KFC, and it remains popular today. The store name is often mistakenly believed to be derived from the character "Popeye," but it was actually named after the detective "Jimmy Popeye Doyle" from the movie "The French Connection" (1971). Incidentally, the rights to use the "Popeye" character were later acquired, and it appeared in advertisements for a time.
