    Carpenter Body Works

    This is a cap from the American bus manufacturer "Carpenter Body Works, Inc.," founded in Indiana in 1918 and now out of business. The company mainly produced distinctive yellow school buses for the United States and Canada. The familiar color of the school bus, which has appeared in numerous movies and dramas and is a common backdrop in American daily life, is well reflected in this cap. It features breathable polyester-like fabric and American-made design elements such as chain stitching on the underside of the brim.
