    This is a cap from the barbecue sauce company "Maull's Barbecue Sauce," founded in Missouri in 1897. The advertising slogan aired on radio and TV from the 1970s to the 1980s was, "Don't baste your barbecue, You Gotta Maull it!" (meaning "For barbecue, you have to use Maull's, not just any sauce!"). Part of this slogan is embroidered on the back. On the reverse side of the inner tag, there is a print of the "Millinery Workers International Union," a labor union composed of workers engaged in hat manufacturing.
